^ The key is to have a local pivotal leader... BJP screwed up in Bihar not projecting Sushil Modi. In UP BJP needs to project a leader. It hasn't done it and it'll struggle in UP against BSP & SP... Punjab is a gone case as AAP will definitely make the Govt. don't know how much trouble Kejri will crate once he gets a full state like Punjab under his control.

Bsp Winning this time(ground report) ,might not reach majority though

Kejriwal might well be the shrewdest politician I have seen.

People think he is an attention hog and doing antics. He is planning to lead the the third front. He is building himself up against Modi at every opportunity. Look at the all ads in media.

Just wait for Punjab results. AAP will start talking of him as PM candidate.

And how is it different than 2014? It's deja vu, again where on one side it's Modi vs several PM candidates. So plenty of same issues around for the opposition, but the biggest issue for BJP is pre-poll alliances. 2014, opposition talked about post-poll elections but now they are too scared, and so will have tactical, pre-poll alliances.

That's a very wrong conclusion from Bihar defeat. You just use hindsight for with your conclusion. It was a right decision to use Modi as divided BJP Bihar team would have immediately collapsed had their been a CM candidate. Bihar was due to bad media management and people simply voting on caste. BJP failed to explain the reservation issue comments and then the people still voted for convicted Laloo.

On Punjab, SAD needs to declare Harsimarat as CM candidate, and AAP are masters at propaganda so let's remember it's still 1 long year left.

BJP vote share increased to 10+% from 4+%. All it needs is a leader who is ready to take on Mamata Di.

Yes, Indian elections is becoming more personality driven. I guess that was the idea of BJP in approaching Ganguly. If BJP can get some big stars, that will exponentially increase its popularity in such weaker regions of BJP.

Indian elections are always personality driven, whether it was Nehru, Indira or Modi now.
