Rohip
This guy is a Pakistan basher, I'd rather have Sehwag opening than this loser giving away free wickets like candy at Halloweeen. Link to comment
goose
Got to persist with him and hope he works its out a la Symonds. Both have similar skill sets. Link to comment
fineleg
Someone (was it Sandtest?) was saying yesterday, today in 1st session new ball will be taken and we'll see how Yuseless handles it. Well he didnt handle it. New ball, and Yuseless is gone! This is really sad that he can score only against pop gun attacks in Tests. Link to comment
living
I saw Sehwag going for a net session :giggle: Link to comment
Rohip
Got to persist with him and hope he works its out a la Symonds. Both have similar skill sets. Symonds wasnt brought up on flat tracks, Yuvraj Stink was. Three letters for ya... F T B Link to comment
Rohip
I'll bet he cant even score against Pakistan outside Asia! Link to comment
gs
This guy has good horizontal bat shots but I couldn't quite understand the way he handled those short balls from Lee - awkwardly taking blows on the body/elbow?!? jeez!!! Link to comment
coffee_rules
The lbw call was marginal. He could have gotten the BOD on his day. The ump has given even more plumb LBWs not out. So, he was a tad unlucky. He seems to be in good touch, so got to persist with him Link to comment
Anakin
How was he in good touch? He couldn't even parry the bouncers. His feet movement was minimal. He played only one great shot. Link to comment
fineleg
BTW, I did not see the dismissal. Did he make that face (whiny, wince) after dismissal? If he did, pls post a pic :D Link to comment
Rohip
I'll bet he cant even score against Pakistan outside Asia! Obvioulsy he cant play Tests against Pakis outside Asia but even in ODIS (his strength) vs Pakis he averages 49.60 in Asia and 24.40 outside Asia!! Link to comment
gs
Yuvraj might still get lucky and get a spot for the next test. Jaffar is a goner. If he couldn't survive in MCG and Sydney - no way in hell can he survive in WACA Perth!!! Link to comment

Ram
3 failures and we have people going for his blood,Unbelievable. Did we make all the changes that we did to accommodate him, only to dump after a few failures. I am sure the team management will back Yuvraj through the series. If he fires, we will be in a VERY strong position, considering he comes at no.6 and is an attacking batsman. When he hit that 169, everyone was singing his praise and hardly any calls of "Yuseless" was seen, now he fails for a couple of times, and we have those chants coming up again. Link to comment
Chaos
yuvraj completely sucks. I want Sehwag in for Jaffer, Pathan in for yuvraj. Link to comment
Anakin
Actually it's not 3 failures, his career stat shows his problem with consistency. Yes Jaffer should be rested, so UV'll get more chances. Link to comment
fineleg
MM, He gave glimpse of hope, but yet again (as in the past) dashed the hopes. He keeps getting chances in Tests becos of "promise", god darn it he needs to deliver now in this Test with a big century in 2nd Inn or just play ODIs and 2020 for sometime. Otherwise, as mouni says, get IKP for YS, and he can bat as much in Tests and can bowl a bit. Link to comment

But for his counter-attacking 100, believe me, we wouldnt have celebrating our first home test series against Pak in over 2 decades. Please, be realistic with your expectations. Surely, one cannot expect a player to deliver the goods in EVERY innings, people will fail, that is the nature of the game. Its how you back them that generally decide how their careers shape up. Dropping Yuvraj now from the test team could be body blow to his confidence, especially after his achievements over the last 2 years. Link to comment

Bumper
Utterly disappointed. His fans deserve better than this effort. Am willing to give this SOB one more innings (not test). Its obvious he is letting his nervousness wreck himself. There is no way in hell, in an ODI, Yuvraj would have let that full delivery from Lee get past his bat. See the no. of times he was beaten by Hogg's ordinary deliveries ? Yuvraj seems too mindful of losing his spot. He must bat with the gay abandon that makes him successful & not worry about the results. I'd make the below changes for next test: 1) Jaffar makes way for Sehwag 2) Ganguly bats at no. 4, Tendulkar at no. 5 3) If Yuvi flops in the next innings (he may not get to bat, if we bat well in the first innings), bring in Pathan for Yuvraj Link to comment
