I am not sure as I am not in India but heard from fellow ICFers here that no TV channel bought NZ home games tv rights. Only during world cup it was shown. Been the case since last few years there.

There are literally 15 different channels dedicated for sports coverage(excluding HDs) and their primary goal is to cover cricket matches. I still subscribe to good old cable and there are 12 sports channels .From past 1-2 years international cricket is drying . They had just two channels - Star sports and ESPN, and then came ten sports and others to give some competition and those channels got other sports. But to see cricket not being picked propeub is ridiculous.
