KeyboardWarrior Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Dean jones and Viv richards ha, Reached Lahore For PSL Final ....
Malcolm Merlyn Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 I know you are not saying Lahore is as safe as Paris but blasts in different parts of the world are perceived differently due to the extent of it happening. In France, its more rarer so an untoward incident is considered an anomaly. In Pakistan, it isn't considered an anomaly unfortunately. So by conducting games there knowing this level of threat is putting a lot of security men's lives at risk. If it solves a larger purpose for the nation, then it makes sense to take this risk but this is just a game. Moreover I don't see how conducting PSL final there will change any perception. If anything, it makes people aware of how big the issue is. They have to try.Else the game will die.Aussies and WI havent visited Pakistan since late 90s.Thats bloody unfair anyway you look at it. They may be able to play a one off T20 with smaller teams to start with. This PSL final will showcase their ability to provide credible security.

cric_fan Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Idiots, a freaking cricket match is more important than a pakistani life, what a pathetic country Dumb comment. People die everyday in that region you silly boy.
Texy Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) What's the point of playing like this? It's suppose to be fun time not like going into war zone with AK47s for security Edited March 4, 2017 by Texy
Malcolm Merlyn Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 What's the point of playing like this? This is being unfair. They give security we have a problem. They dont give security we have a problem. Asim 1
Sidhoni Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 This is high risk for little reward. Doubt that successful organizing of this match will lead to international cricket being played there even in next 2 years.

If they can provide a safe match with so many bombs going off recently then the case can be made in better times that if we protected you then we definitely be able to protect you now. It will in a sense validate their security measures in the most extreme circumstances.

How will they convince teams?

How will they convince teams? Words and promises can not convince ... only actual events. Hence why PCB is trying to hard to get some sort of international matches to demonstrate its security measures. Ultimate_Game 1

Honestly don't see it happening though.
