Like the WI approach to chasing totals

I understand that it was not necessarily planned by WI but it is good to see the approach where the RRR for the last 1/3rd of overs was brought down to around run a ball by taking advantage of the middle overs by getting big overs vs. picking singles up to keep wkts in hand and increasing the RRR to 10 or so w/ less fancied batsmen to come and with death over specialists bowling

B/w 10 and 40 overs, a large percentage of the overs are likely to be bowled by the less fancied 4th-5th-6th bowlers, so rather than giving them a good economical spell and then taking on death over specialist with high RRR, teams could try to maximize these middle overs and than go relatively steadily w/ RRR brought down to around 8 in the death overs while chasing big totals, minimizing the risk

Almost all teams have realized that with 4 outfielders in the middle 30 overs, its the time to attack and bat pro-actively.  India prefer to play it safe till the end,  counting on batsmen "making it big".   New rules actually require batsmen to be a bit more unselfish and take some risks, rewarding teams with depth in batting vs top heavy teams that tend to be vulnerable to collapses.
