Why Test matches PWNS (DLF) Tontee-Tontee

There will be no flat-track belters full of easy runs. Instead, vicious, unplayable greentops, where the keeper collects the ball at gully due to the amount of outswing, will be the norm. There is to be no attractive strokeplay, just ugly, obstinate defence, and slip cordons packed with no less than eight fielders - all of whom actually understand the concept of catching. Captains are also strictly required to play at least four Pakistani players each game, and anyone who even attempts a scoop over the keeper's head will be summarily executed.

No, that's utter bullsheet and you know it! It's just an attempt at deception. Really, "There is to be no attractive strokeplay, just ugly, obstinate defence, and slip cordons packed with no less than eight fielders - all of whom actually understand the concept of catching. Captains are also strictly required to play at least four Pakistani players each game" O rly? So how the **** would you have a side with 4 Paki fielders and STILL have 8 fielders in the side who could understand how to catch a ball? :headshake: Alternate ideas phail. I vote to return to test kirkut, make all the Pakis play in one side and then have that side get ****ed by Australia so badly the highlights will only ever be shown on the hardcore channel. :orderorder:

Reason # 1 No Tontee-Tontee whiz kid has ever survived in Test cricket for a decent length of time and had a good Test match record. Whereas I keep hearing that most Test cricketers even in their old age are pwning the Tontee-Tontee heros.
Test cricket is superior but not for the reasons you mentioned. Tendulkar , Kallis got highest runs so Tests pwn T20? How? Naman Ojha has score more runs than Sehwag and Gambhir.. so it means Ojha is pwning Viru and Gauti? Cricket is cricket. Tontee tontee or ten ten or five five in your backyard. Just the requirement, skill will be different for each format.

Why do the so-called 'purists' (whatever that term means.. As though the rest of us all are the contaminated type..) feel this constant urge to relentlessly prop-up test cricket in the face of this rising tide called T20? That sounds more like insecurity than pride. Or maybe its just a childish 'Look my toy is better than your toy' kinda thing? You gotto love how certain people here claim ownership of test cricket, as though literally nursed it through from birth, supported it through tough times, while the rest of the 'fans' deserted it for the love-child called 'T20'. If you like test cricket, fine, more power to you. But please, stop making lame-ass comparisons that simply dont have any substance at all in the name of being a purist or professing your love the game's most traditional form. That doesnt prop up Test cricket over the other forms, it just makes you look a little.. err..kiddish. :giggle:
