lolz... A bottlecap could have helped, what do you say?

You got any proof that Wasim used bottle-caps ? Or is now Imran and Wasim the same person ?

Note that the series in England, Wasim and Waqar were reversing the ball and under intense scrutiny for ball tampering but no evidence found...

Please tell me where did I mention being of the same quality of Wasim and Waqar?

right here:

Srinath always had a problem with his length, which he corrected by the fag end of his career. But when he did, he was way more effective than Wasim and was almost head to head with Mcgrath.

At no point in their careers were Srinath and Wasim 'just as effective'. Yes, obviously in any single match, one player can outshine another. But thats like saying just because Tendulkar got a zero in one game and in the same game Mongia got a 50, 'when he did, Mongia was way more effective than Tendulkar'...

Sorry, but with multiple cameras and intense media scrutiny, the ball is still reversing and zero evidence of ball tampering found...the conclusion is elementary.

aagaye arithmatic leke ,do you know as you take wickets runs slow down  and teams can get bowled out , on the other hand runs pile up if you dont.

either way, 30 more wickets without even conceding a single run, wouldn't bring his average down from 30 to low 20s.

had he taken 30 more wickets he would have conceded less runs

Umm sure. But even then, his average wouldn't drop from 30 to 22 by just taking 30 more wickets.

it all depends on the match situation ,it would be somewhere in the 22-27 range,

To take 30 more wickets and average 22, Srinath would've had to concede 1344 less runs. Ie, concede nearly 20% less runs than he did.

Fat chance.

Srinath was mediocre. he had his moments, but still was long, long way off being in the top bracket of his time. As someone pointed out in another thread, Srinath never had the fast bowler's mentality anyways.

Only bowler i've ever heard of who took a cussing without a peep, from a batsman after hitting said batsman.

Given that a) EVERY batsman who's faced Akram has said that he was really quick when he wanted to be and b) he lost some speed near the end of his career and after repeated groin injuries in the late 90s, it'd mean Akram was a much faster bowler at his peak, if he was 138-140s after slowing down.

Akram was 128  k to 138 k after slowing down and not 138 k to 140 k.

Srinath was 132 k to 142 k even in his last year.

Akram in his last years had diabetes. And he'd had multiple groin injuries in the late 90s too.

If Srinath didnt bowl below 130s, it means only one thing- he never had a slower ball. Which i can't remember Srinath ever bowling.

I am not talking about slower balls but the pace range of faster deliveries.

Akram for majority of his life had diabetes. Groin injuries, hmmmm .. Well, Srinath had rotator cuff injury and got operated and even after that he was clocked at 149.6kph, 2nd only to shoaib akhtar in 99 WC. So what does that prove?

And this is called exact data...

Akram missed series on atleast 3 separate occasions in the late 90s due to groin injuries. Ie, repeated injury to the same place versus a one-off for Srinath.

And no, Akram wasn't diabetic most of his life, he was in his later part of his career. The video i posted shows this.

I need to watch that part, however he was diagnosed at the age of 29. As far as I remember. And that is pretty early for diabetes. Which also clarifies that the age quoted by Akram is wrong just like Afridi and all other Pakistani players. He must be atleast 3-5 years older than the age mentioned.

Please do a bit of research before farting from mouth. please check Srinath's injury and stick to that. The topic of the conversation was Srinath and his bowling speed. And clearly Wasim akram was way slower than him and has always been misquoted as being fast when infact he was a medium fast to fast medium.

?

Akram didnt look like a 22-23 year old when he debuted, he could barely grow a beard.

Wasim was slower than Srinath in his latter years, yes. AFTER he became diabetic and multiple chronic injuries of the groin. I am sure you appreciate the difference between getting injured once and multiple chronic injury to the same location.

I have presented evidence of SEVERAL batsmen who've faced him and called him really fast. I am also yet to find a batsman who's faced both Srinath and Wasim and said Srinath was faster.

how can groin injury slow your pace down? Shoulder or back injury does.

You are right in that respect that a lot of batsmen would have called wasim fast but not Srinath and there are various reasons for that. A lot of players might not have directly called Wasim Akram a cheat and a bottlecap user, but that doesnt change the fact Wasim was a cheater and also a match fixer.

A lot of batsmen also called glenn mcgrath fast. A lot of batsmen also called courtney walsh fast. But that doesnt change the fact that all those bowlers were nothing more than medium fast bowlers.

Before the advent of speed guns, batsmen used to just go by the reputation of bowlers. Ofcourse, it was changed in 99 WC when the whole world witnessed that the bowler they called medium pacer, bowled at 149.6kph and was wwwwaaaayyyy faster than mcgrath and other bowlers. Infact, was 2nd only to Shoaib Akhtar. I am talking about javagal Srinath.

Without knowing actual nos and actual data, a lot of people can say a lot of things. The truth is out there, you just have to search more, research more. Sadly, someone like you with limited knowledge and limited capacity to look into data and facts will fail to understand so.

For the record, I never meant to say that Srinath was a better bowler than Wasim. That he wasnt. But he way faster than Akram, theres no two way about that.

But the other fact is, Srinath wasnt a cheat and a match fixer and a bottlecap user. Wasim was all of that. So its tough to know whether it was the bottlecap, or his guile.

My brother is 26 and he still could baerly grow a beard. Beard depends on genetics, not age.

Regarding this, was this question ever asked? For me, Srinath at his peak pace was certainly quicker than Akram.

Lol. What is going on here ??

Very disrespectful to mention akram and srinath in the same sentence .

I have seen hussain , atherton , crowe , taylor , slater , warne and steve waugh all mention akram as one of the fastest they have ever faced in his prime and he is being compared to srinath who was with all due respect only about as quick and effectove as a peak razzaq , perhaps even slower from what i remember of him during the 1998-2000 season specifically that tri nation series in australia .

Lol srinath wasnt even quicker than razzaq in the 1998-2002 period let alone akram.who is regarded by many top bats (see post above) as one of the fastest they have faced .

Lol. Dravid and tendulkar werent caught cuddling the ball were they ??
