His also implied that doctors, engineers and professors are to be deemed as "liberal" purely because of their vocation. I have a problem in subscribing to this theory. You asked me the source and I told you I don't remember which channel I watched that documentary on. Do you remember each and every channel you watch a particular show on? I don't and neither was I trying to present it as some kind of scientific argument in a proper debate(I rarely get into those online). It was an off the cuff remark where hanging out in the evening one would say, "Haan yaar conservative backgrounds ki porn stars par ek documentary dekhi thi maine ek channel par kuch saal pehle" coming to the issue of source. CC1981 and Shwetabh will appreciate the context of my query. In another thread, I did not quote a source and shwetabh accused me of being a cheat simply because he got some other data from a website (it turned out later that i was correct). I have not once called Shwetabh a cheat in this thread.....although i did agree to his own suggestion that he could have dreamt about it. Please quote where I called you a cheat. 1. You made a claim, I found a counter claim with a source and said you were fabricating stuff 2. You said you were not fabricating it and sent me a couple of articles on whose basis you made the claim. 3. I acknowledged those articles and figures and said will get back to you when I get the time and inclination. 4. You accused me of calling you a liar in a completely unrelated cricket thread where I was not even participating. 5. I went through points 1-3 with you and apologized if I offended you. 6. You said yes you will move on. 7. You are back to the same ghisa pita scene. All those defending Shwetabh's stand....I did not see any of you take a similar stand in my favour when he called me a cheat! I'd love to know why. Maybe because I never called you a cheat? Dhondy and Beetle....Both of you basically suggested that if Shwetabh claimed that there is a source then it must be true...notwithstanding the fact that as of now he has not been able to substantiate his claims. This is truly revealing. Nobody could blame the aussies for being convinced about harbhajan's guilt as Andrew Symonds and Ponting are both respectable figures in Australia. But did you two not cry a river over how unjust it was to punish harbhajan on the basis of symonds allegation? This is not some disciplinary hearing where Dhondy and Beetle require some proof. It's more like a casual evening conversation where you say things which are true but you might not be able to substantiate in a court of law and that's where trust comes in and as I said most posters know me for a long enough time to realize I will not lie about such trivial stuff. Its very basic and i am sure you are a man of above average intelligence to comprehend this. So all those folks who came running here and advising me not to insist on a source...they are the ones who neeed to loosen up. Folks here apparently have more than average intelligence to differentiate between a scenario where one poster accuses another of fabricating stuff after presenting a source with a counter claim and one where a poster goes on personal attacks against all and sundry. Fineleg's unjustifiably took a moral high ground and went on to preach and deserves all that he/she got. That you cannot comprehend the difference doesn't mean others can't and since when did taking a moral high ground become justification for being abused. I did not twist any words, merely said taking a moral high ground is no grounds to be abused, whether it's a justified moral high ground or not is irrelevant and that was my reason for omitting those words. In any event, since we dont have an arbitral forum on a messageboard so I'll decide for myself what's just and what's not. its pretty simple. And if you are not, then stay clear of abuses regardless of whether you feel a moral high ground is justified or not. Have tried to reason with you here and have made my point amply clear - don't go about abusing posters based on your perceptions of justice.
