Lot more improvement needed . Seems no good pull or hook at his disposal . Atleast one should look not like getting out easily in these type of pitches and get singles / 2 s . Looked too risky .. adi B
Bats like a Hack but still can improve his game especially in the modern era of lois where flat pitches are the order of the day Link to comment

But I agree, let's give him more time. Anyway there are series vs SA, Eng, Aus. Link to comment

His back lift and stance is fine in my opinion, red herrings , no issues we will see gaps in technique when plays real pace , plays on fast tracks or seaming tracks . Then we will see . Otherwise it’s pure guess and just wanting to see all bats stand and move like Dravid Huge back lift causes trouble in fast pitches and against geneuin quicks who are accurate. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Funny enough looked better at dharmasal on worse pitch early days . Maybe will learn a lot from today and improve due to it , often happens with young players . Sometimes have Dips and comeback well cos of it . Despite all kept run rate going and is electric runner between wickets . Needs a good run but today pandey looked much better then iyer no doubts Link to comment

But will be in trouble when there is even a slight movement. Apart from the technical issues, out of nowhere he plays shots in the air and when it does not work, looks foolish. Very much like rohit sharma in that case. Edited December 25, 2017 by renjith Link to comment

Batsmen who often plays attacking shots opt for high backlift. That helps them to impart more power into shots. Low back lift is good for defensive shots. Link to comment
