Brainfade Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 No he's a great batsman But, he shudders when he faces the Indian attack. India's bowlers have gotten into the head of this great batsman, and are making him whimper. Calling him mediocre is taking credit away from the Indian attack :)!
King Tendulkar Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 Does it again. Flat track, rocket fast outfield and yob ponting scores a ton. This guy is the ultimate FTB
Sachinism Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 ^^ lol it was a pretty flat track when aus were batting
Anakin Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Does it again. Flat track, rocket fast outfield and yob ponting scores a ton. This guy is the ultimate FTB Come on, only SRT scores in the 1st innings on the flattest of pitches and against weakest bowling.
King Tendulkar Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 FTB Ponting fails again when the track is not a road to bat on
kumble_rocks Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Yep , Ponting has been sorted out by India in his backyard... And we all know , how he has been humiliated in India in the past ...
King Tendulkar Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 His record on the seaming wickets of england is also very mediocre
King Tendulkar Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Chokes and struggles on the seaming track
anbuchelvan Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 He averages 12 when touring the best team he has had to face in is era. Just like players of now are judged how they do against aussies in oz and players of 70s and 80s were judged how they did in windies, so aussies must be judged how they do against the toughest tour for them in cricket. This of course is aginst India the 2nd best team of this era. He averages a pathetic 12 in India, so he is clearly not that great! And quite possibly a FTB! NO HE IS NOT MEDIOCRE WHEN COMES TO CHEATING.CAN CLAIM A PUMPED CATCH,CAN BAT WITH A SYNTHETIC BAT.:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
King Tendulkar Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 So its confirmed Ponting is an FTB. Averaged in the 30s this series. Another poor return from Ponting in India, clearly can't hack it here. This continues the trend of ponting not doing the business in the two places which it is most difficult to bat, that is India with its turning tracks and england with its seamers. Averges only 20 in India and only 42 in England. Ponting confirms he is a Flat Track Bully
King Tendulkar Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Ponting should now RETIRE. He is 34 and is clearly too old now and has been in a horrible consistent run of poor form. 2007 he averaged only 38 2008 he averaged 47 2009 he now averages a pathetic 32. This is a shocking run of form which shows he is past it and this rubbish batting is simply over looked. He should be under presurre with this poor batting but is not mysteriously. Also past couple of years have showed what FTB he is as he flopped in India. He also flopped in tour of SA with no tons. I am sure he will continue his mediocre form in England in up coming series were he barely averages over 40. Ponting should call it day and stop being selfish in trying to hold on to his place!

Shane Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 in b4 the Haz been away for some time, may be couldnt digest the Oz losing
Gambit Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 dsr is a legend :hysterical: Coming back to the OP, Punter will probably go down as the third greatest test bat since the 1990s when he retires(a position he will have to surrender to the great Virender by the time he's done). He is a great great bat far from mediocre. In fact, he might even be the greatest #3 bat ever, after the Don. Just before the 2007 world cup began, Punter was breathing down SRT's neck with a gap of just 2 100s separating them. Since then, Prince Tendulkar has shown Pauper Ponting his place by increasing the lead to 5 and outperforming Punter in the two bilateral series between their nations.
King Tendulkar Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Ishant Ambrose guns him down again. Faced with a tough examination on a tricky track he duly fais as he has done in past in england and india were his averages are MEDIOCRE! He has serious flaws in his CV which need to be discussed! This point is still releavant. His recent mediocre form is something needing examaning. As well as his poor returns on spinning tracks of India and seam/swingers of England! His 3 year poor form also seems to coincide with suddenly haveing a mediocre team as well, with more presurre when he bats due to this. No superstars to bail him out if he flunks. More pressure and so less runs. As well as his techinical issues
