CSK's place in history is secured as a magnificent franchise - Harsha Bhogle

So a franchisee which is banned for two years is magnificent. How low standards some commentators are keeping. It is shameful he forgets the history of the franchisee so very easily. Does he really thinks before making such comments. These are the two franchisees which have made our IPL a laughing stock.

I would say RR and CSK are two worst franchisees in history of IPL. Never been a fan of spot fixing or betting or whatever anyone else calls to make those two franchisees looks good.

So Harsha is a voice of reason, authority and cricket acumen now? Not downplaying CSK's achievement but since when have opinions of the likes of Harsha warranted a serious discussion?

Harsha used to be more popular in the 90s and is one of the commentators liked by commentators from other countries because of his bantering abilities. He was all things you mentioned above. His commentary slipped in the last decade to measure up (read down) to IPL standards. He has spoken almost a decade ago that we have to discuss about striking a balance between cricket and advertising. He tried to be a homer for India but not as a homer like Sunny and Manju.

He has done radio commentary which is a better art. He is also quite good in his vocabulary rather than come up with cliches like "wrapped on the pads and up goes the finger". Which finger maybe this one :finger:. I think this might be a bold statement to make and will possibly make Tony Cozier roll from the grave. But he is our answer to Tony Cozier . He is the India's best narrator and expert about the history of cricket.
