Ankit_sharma03
Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman has been drafted in the India A squad for their upcoming four-day matches in England which starts from July 4. Pant is currently a part of the limited-overs team which is playing the triangular series versus the EnglandLions and the Windies A. He scored one sparkling half-century in the opening match, but hasn’t quite been at his best in the matches thereafter. The team, captained by Shreyas Iyer, is scheduled to play the Final tomorrow and will be keen to win the tournament, Pant will also want to contribute with the willow and help his team. Pant has had an eventful last one year. The first-class side, led by Karun Nair, will play a couple of Unofficial Tests versus the Windies A in Beckenham and Taunton respectively. Pant’s golden chance Thereafter, they will move to Worcester where they will lock horns with the England Lions in their only four-day fixture from July 16. Pant is renowned for playing the ambitious strokes and he will definitely present himself as a contender for an India recall provided he is able to make the opportunity count. The last one year has been pretty eventful for the Delhi-born cricketer. He made his debut in 2017 versus England at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. He was also a part of the national squad for the Nidahas T20 tri-nation series in Sri Lanka, which the Men in Blue won. Pant played two matches after which he was sidelined owing to his lackluster show. Nevertheless, he made his mark in the IPL playing for the Delhi Daredevils where he made a mockery of some formidable bowling attacks. Lannister
I want Kishan to develop into a Test player and Rishabh Pant for LOIs. Two wicketkeepers across three formats. Link to comment

Cricket_Fan
This is Pant's golden opportunity. He has not done much in this tour yet and with Ishan Kishan hot on his tail, he needs to make some runs. Switchblade 1 Link to comment
GolGappe
Excellent decision by selectors. Hopefully, he will learn the value of cautious starts. Can't go bat sh!t crazy from ball 1 regardless of format and situation. Link to comment
