Scientifically, centuries of human evolution has made it such that females look for good nests while males look for healthy females to pass on their seed. But in this age, what is stopping them from creating the nest for their offsprings themselves? In the last 5 years, i 've dated many women and the longest i could stand any one girl was a few months.I am afraid to get married bcos i think i will lose respect for my wife if she is dependent on me. Come to think of it, even when i was a broke student, i still paid most of the time (even considering that 1 was older than me and had a steady job). Either i am dumb (which i am ) which the girls took advantage of or the entire world is screwed up.

Well if a woman is going to start a family with someone and invest her blood,bones ,emotions time and effort in producing a child which will also have that man's name ...then the least she expects is that the man will be capable of providing for the child when she is producing and looking after the child. Yes...women can bulid their own nest ,produce the baby almost solo and take care of it all by themselves.....but why should they have to?What is the man's investment in the child? Why do you get to pass on your genes without working hard for it while the poor woman literally gives her blood and bones for helping you pass on your genes along with hers? Why do you so called modern men expect a free piggy back ride for your genes? You want women to be independent and do their own thing... you go produce your own babies too....

I have a job. I cook. I clean and have a social life. Its not that hard to do all that.

I don't say that the man has to earn more than the woman....but they want security for their future families. I am not talking about gold diggers here.But most women want a certain security from their partners for themselves and their children. And it is fair to a large extent. If the woman has a baby and continues to look after the baby and be the bread earner ...then that is a bonus.But if they want to stop and take a breadth for sometime ,they should have the option of doing only one job. If the guy is earning enough ,the woman has the option to stop and take that breadth.

Do the men invest their health and well being to produce that baby Do they bear the pain of giving birth and having that baby suck the life out of you..? No men don't do that? Because they can't ? Ofcourse if they could do it...most of them would do it with flying colours. And they would also appreciate the process more. Till the time they get down to doing it...they better settle for working that bit harder and shut up if they are expected to earn a bit more. You think it is too much to expect a man to provide for the woman and the child she is carrying so that you guys can become fathers. Is it too much to expect to let the poor woman have the option of not having to do double duty? Most women these days work till they go into labour and then get back to working as soon as they can whether their bodies are ready or not. Some of these women may be superwomen who can cope with it but most are not. Some do it because they have to...others do it so that they can continue to keep the respect of those guys who think a dependent woman(who is in anycase working at home to keep the family going) is a parasite.

A women has to carry a child for a few months, and then lets be charitable and say that she takes care of it for 5 years(which is shared btw,atleast among the people i've known).After that, the child pretty much spends most of the time at school. The math is just not right.
