Gollum Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Sad news. In recent times have read many reports about similar things from Indonesia and Malaysia.....guess they too are going down fast, very soon there won't be a single Muslim majority country not affected by conflict/terrorism/civil war/hardcore Islamism. S.E Asia was always going to be the final frontier for radical Islam.....surprised the fire spread there even before Muslim majority Central Asia. India has a deep connections with that region, historically and culturally....say goodbye to all that. Alam_dar 1
Alam_dar Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Indonesia and Malaysia have started following the Salafi Islam of Saudi Arabia. Thus danger increases many folds as compared to the traditional Islam. Pakistan and India has still the majority Muslim population which follow the traditional Islam. But again the Salafi Islam has increased many folds in India and Pakistan too.

Long period of Soviet rule curbed religion over there to a great deal, many Muslims in those places are irreligious. Also ruthless dictatorship (by ex communists from Soviet Socialist Republic days) there has kept in control the radical tendencies.

In recent times Uzbeks have become more radical and a lot of them want sharia

With every day passing, the extremism is still spreading in these states. It may not be threatening at moment, but within 1 to 2 decades, it could explode, like it did in Malaysia and Indonesia. Best option is still awareness against the evils of Islam.
