mani sha Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) its easy to forget why ind does not play pak but i think we ought to pay respect to our jawans and policemen who got killed so that we enjoy these bat ball games. many people say these games not imp - i say that everytime we beat them mercilessly in cricket , it might just lift the morale of our jawans its not just sport .kargill happened right after india pak brotherhood nonsense . i too thought things will improve. but alas .. same now . imran khan came and three policemen killed mercilessly. sorry but we get to play these sports cos of sacrifices of our jawans Edited September 25, 2018 by mani sha
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) Sports is metaphorically a simulation of war. especially a game like test cricket is a proper simulation for an extended conflict unlike a short and quick tribal battle of football or basketball. The repressed emotions and simmering anger of the people without an outlet to vent them is one of the main reasons several wars happened in the Napoleonic era. Usually when two rival countries play sports then the military tension between them lessens and calms down to a great extent - like for example it happened between European nations post WWII. However, Pakistan is a pseudo nation who has many bosses/husbands (Government, Military, ISI, Taliban, Kashmir Mujahideen, ISIS, USA and now China). As a result even though their people have calmed down due to sports or cricket, there will always be elements in their country who will provoke proxy warfare with India. So playing sports with Pakistan will have no effect on the peaceful relations between both the countries. Edited September 25, 2018 by Temujin Khaghan Switchblade, Sgattick10 and mani sha 2 1
