HowardRoark Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Yesteraday's was a collective failure..cant blame any individual perticulery...But i still wonder why kumble gave White one over when RR is coming towards 8//that over changed wvrything and RR moved 9.....its one of the dumbest decision to give bowling to a guy who doesnt bowled @ international level in last 1 year :banghead: Sh1t happens dude! Remember your recent match against queenies, their captain gave the ball to one of the best pacer in the world and he screwed up their almost-won match and helped you win.
Guest DeveGowda Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Sh1t happens dude! Remember your recent match against queenies' date=' their [b']captain gave the ball to one of the best pacer in the world and he screwed up their almost-won match and helped you win. Thats diffrent..he dont have choice..its either Brett or Shree....In first match between these 2 Robin hit 3 sixes in an over from Shree.. But what kumble doen is Horrible....even if a want a part time bowler he should have gone to Kp..who bolwed one over for just 3 runs...I dont have problem if batsman hit good or almost good balls...the entire over was absolutely horrible..thats also when DD is not going great..RR was around 8.25..
youngindia Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 what was that rubbish strategy again? can't believe coaches are being being paid for coming up with the stupidest ones imaginable. pandey is striking the ball well for his age. he is sending balls into the crowd with proper cricketing shots. kohli tries crude slogs when he faces an impossible situation . he is unable to find sixes with proper shots.on occasions he does find boundaries but not good enuf for the moment. that's the answer for his omission. he has a long way to go.and there were einsteins here who wanted a test spot for him! he does not deserve a t20 spot.if one cannot see his mmaturity yesterday, they never will. right now he is a 8-9 runrate guy and he has to play within those limitations.i cannot see him overcoming those limiations for the next one year or so atleast. guys who can ovecome 10-12 run rate are uthappa ,ross taylor and white. uthappa is throwing away starts and a sublime form with rubbish shot selections. he has to cash in.he will be as vital as yuvraj in the shorter forms with exceptional striking.
flashpan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I do not know why everybody are getting restless over yesterday's defeat . It is well known that toss is most crucial for matches at Delhi more then anywhere else . Win the toss , you are pretty sure to win the match . It was not that Kallis and KP played poorly , but the bowling was good which was made to look great by the condition of the wicket.Maybe we should have opened with Kohli and kept White down the order and pushed Dravid a bit higher . But then that is in hindsight . Thankfully Kumble seems to have realised his mistake and the "Deccan Herald" has reported him saying that Rahul will bat higher up the order from the next match onwards. We have 2 crucial home matches coming up and if we win those we may very well be in the semis with 3 matches to play . Next Match , Manish and Steyn to be back at the expense of White(unfortnate) and Mithun(unlucky).
gaurav92 Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 ^What about VDM, i say gamble by dropping Test Kirkut's kallis get this guy, he is electric on the field, and bowls well, plus he provides a good slogger in the end, which is needed by us.
flamy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 The same crisis bedeviled MSD last T20 WC. Supporting BRC and India is taking its toll on me :(( For India, our squad is looking dead. Would have loved Pandey, Tiwary, Mishra, Uthappa :((
bunny Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Kallis has to go. At the very least we need to find a way to play 5 bowlers. I'd go with KP Pandey Uthappa Ross RD White Akhil PK Steyn Kumble Apanna
cowboysfan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 i think even 7 wins might not be enough.we might have a cluster**** with 3 teams at 7 wins and we may lose out on NRR,we need to win 2 out 3 home games or we are definitely out of the semifinals.
cowboysfan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 the pitch at home is completely different from everywhere else in the country.we will not play appanna and PK is coming back.
cowboysfan Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 my worst fears have come true if there is 4 way tie at 10 points then BRC (the team on the decline) will lose out.there is some chutiygiri by jennings that is just unacceptable.what the heck is Dravid doing at 7 in every match?.he is no use at 7 when the match is already out of hand!!!.either play him at 3 or 4 or have the balls to drop him.

RSD > KP because not only can he consolidate the innings but find you a odd boundary or two without trying to be too cheeky. I am so bloody annoyed by seeing RSD @ # 7 because he has only played 6 overs in the 9 games he has featured  :finger: BRC for treating RSD in such a manner and underestimating his ability in this format :finger:
gaurav92 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 ^Agree :agree: Dravid should bat at 3, and mark my words "Kallis has begun to lose his form, he will be a massive fail ahead"

Guest DeveGowda Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Blame cannot be solely on coach. Even captain also responsible. If this team cannot win 3/5 they dont deserve semis.
Clarke Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 3 teams with 5 wins .. need to beat dhakkan tomorrow to get back to # 2. Hope Pandey is opening and Uthappa/Taylor/White hold # 3/4/5 respectively.
vvvslaxman Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 So BRC has a chance to be eliminated. What a turn around suddenly towards the business end of the IPL.
cowboysfan Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 we need a pitch with grass on it,no need to cut what grass there is on the surface.this is a do or die match as far as i am concerned.drop appanna and kp and bring back steyn.
flamy Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 So BRC has a chance to be eliminated. What a turn around suddenly towards the business end of the IPL. lal like I said, we are not sure of making semi finals, and u were talking abt finals.
