The Madame Tussuad's museum has a ghost-trip kinda thing' date=' where you are actually led into a small walkaway, which is totally dark, by a man play-acting as a teacher of the "haunted school" in which you are supposedly getting into. As you walk along, spooky things happen every now and then, like moving statues, shrieking voices etc. Its all quite fun, esp if there are girls around coz they shout their throats off. While we were moving along, a *ghost* suddenly appeared from nowhere and started walking menacingly towards my friend, who was at the front of the queue. The general rule is, however close these "ghosts" get to you, you shouldnt touch them. I dunno what my friend was thinking, but somehow, he got the impression that the ghost was actually going to attack him and started kicking and wrestling with it. If you enjoyed the one at Venetian you will absolutely love the one in London. The one in London has a completely secret section, like a basement, where a Medieval dungeon of sorts is created. You can witness torture equipments as also those ghostly encounters. However the best part, to me, are these amateur artists that are dressed up as beggars, quirks, witches etc who would be standing in a darken corner and would spring to life the moment you pass them by. They really are very good. My sister took me there and I remember when I came out my arms had actually gotten all red and bloodied thanks to the number of times my sisters nail drove through them as she held on to it for dear life!

You can witness torture equipments as also those ghostly encounters. However the best part, to me, are these amateur artists that are dressed up as beggars, quirks, witches etc who would be standing in a darken corner and would spring to life the moment you pass them by. They really are very good. My sister took me there and I remember when I came out my arms had actually gotten all red and bloodied thanks to the number of times my sisters nail drove through them as she held on to it for dear life! Sounds too scary for me! Maybe I will avoid this Tussaud's :eyedance: Strike it off the list.

The roadside shows that Lurker lists , esp the one that involves a lot of pirates and fountains was good. A walk in the Ceaser's palace under the fake sky was also very good. We went to a magic/variety show, don't remember the place. Don't volunteer to go on stage. They make a lot of jokes on you. The chinese guy next to me volunteered to go on stage for the magic show. He was subjected to a lot of cheap gay jokes that were made on him

Yep, it is quite real, but more fun than scary, i must say. Sounds too scary for me! Maybe I will avoid this Tussaud's :eyedance: Strike it off the list. No, its a completely different section. You can skip 'em if you want. The wax statues themselves are worth visiting. They appear incredibly real, especially on the photos. :D

Madame Tussad's facking lame. I wasted valuable time in London in there. The statues are a joke, look like mannequins and nowhere close to the originals. Highly overrated piece of junk. Go to a real museum instead.

I cant remember the price right now but I am guessing it was around 30 pounds or so.

I am probably going to Vegas in May Its probably going to be 3-4 mights I am seeing them after like 6 years so besides catching up..I need to know where should we live and what shows should we watch They are a couple, and we all enjoy our drinks
fineleg Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Reviving the Las Vegas thread since there is a lot of talk about Summer vacations in other threads I've never been to Vegas during the summer months. Was thinking of going there in July or August. I've had some people warn me that it is REALLY HOT (TRIPLE DIGITS) in summer, so it may be brutal. I feel that if one has seen Madras summer then one can manage Las Vegas :D Neverthless, probably will get a good hotel on the strip so easier access to stuff. If it is going to be terrible in the heat, then maybe I'm open to other destinations for summer vacations. What are the summer vacation plans for ICF-ers?
