Real McCoy
Mayank Vijay/Rahul Pujara Kohli Rahane Vihari Pant Ashwin/Kuldeep Ishant Shami Bumrah Pandya cant bat cant bowl in a test match situation. Kuldeep can be a surprise option as wrist spinners thrive in Aus. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

It don't matter if he is fit or not but he is no longer the bowler he was couple of years ago. I will play Kuldeep Yadav instead who troubled Aussies when we last played tests with them in India. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk ashwin took 6 wickets in the first test. there is no evidence that kuldeep will do better. kuldeep also lacks control and will leak runs as well. No more flat pitches. 3-1 on the cards for this series, Media will also confuse our pappu/Phupha pair and mess up the selection once again.. http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/25564044/mcg-drop-pitch-upgraded-perth-standard' only in march, they will change the pitch, not this test. If anything, Pujara > Kohli this series so far and if anyone has to step up to the plate, it should be Captain Kool and leading by example. You think someone who doesn't want to drop Dhoni for his "experience" will do right by the team? The same person who prefers batting at 3, instead of 4 to strengthen our middle order in LO! express bowling
1. Mayank 2. Vihari / Parthiv 3. Pujara 4. Kohli 5. Rahane 6. Pant ( wk ) 7. Pandya 8. Ashwin / Jadeja ( if Ash unfit ) 9. Ishant 10. Shami 11. Bumrah -- Pant has done better as a batsman than Vihari and Rohit in this series and in his career so far. He would not be a worse No.6 than them. -- This team has 4 pacers and a spinner -- Would not disturb the reasonably successful in this series, No.3 to No.5, of Pujara, Kohli and Rahane -- Decent batting till 8 -- It is easy to bat against the Kookabura ball after 10 overs. Need the better batsmen later on. All bases reasonsbly covered. Edited December 20, 2018 by express bowling UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Real McCoy
Lots of overreactions because of our opening troubles . You cant drop both the openers and get another pair of openers in the middle of the series. Keep one and play Mayank. Otherwise we will be setback to the 90s where we had a revolving door of openers. This is also considering how bad and long our tail is. Some guys suggested we play Pant or Pandya at 6. We dont want someone who can hit blistering sixes like T20. Its a test match. Vihari is my No.6 for the rest of the series. He seemed composed at the crease and didn't play stupid shots . He got good balls in both the innings. Link to comment
