If a cricketer is a batting/bowling specialist then do they become AR while fielding since fielding is different from batting & bowling ? That would explain the miserable performance

Fielding is a bare minimum and all of them need to be good at that. They should never be allowed on the field if they cant field properly.

DK dropped 2 catches last game

Rayudu lost tons of runs in field in both aus n nz series

Wud u allow them on field ?

Your question is very troubling. You just pick and chose the one you dont like.

But the answer is dropped catches should be counted against a player in perfect world. In baseball they do take errors into account. Dropped catch is an error.

no one fielded as crap as rayudu in those 2 series so i aint picking someone , ill give benefit to DK since he is a keeper but Rayudu was rubbish in the field

Getting back to your original question fielding should be one of the metrics to grade a player. In babseball running between the bases is one metrics and more than 90% of players can run 60 yds in less than 7 secs. Cricket needs to come up with these metrics too but for now we cannot pick and choose. That is the main reason I like Hardik because he is truly fit.

We do that and thats why rayudu has come under scanner

even vijay shankar has shows he is an excellent fielder not on hardik level but so arent many on hardik level of fielding

In a perfect world all the players should be fielding at this level. Since none of them do it is unfair to single Raydu out.

coz he was bad really bad other were good in field that is why ,as i said start watching games not the scorecard . Who else fielded as bad as rayudu ?

We have pointed out to dhawan n kohli in test cricket in past for dropping a lot of catches. Off lately dhoni has also been pointed out for dropping catches. But rayudu ground fielding n catching both have been bad
