Today the worst bowler was the so called All-orunder:

BOWLING O M R W ECON 0s 4s 6s WD NB
B Kumar 5 0 20 0 4.00 22 4 0 0 0
Mohammed Shami 6 2 19 3 3.16 28 3 0 1 0
V Shankar 4 0 19 0 4.75 15 3 0 0 0
YS Chahal 10 0 43 2 4.30 33 4 0 1 0
Kuldeep Yadav 10 1 39 4 3.90 36 1 2 0 0

Among the guys who were supposed to bowl the all rounder yielded the most runs.

Let us keep a tab on all the all rounders.

damn now their is an issue with 4.75 economy, shows how badly OP is trying to prove his point

the logic appears to be that the if an AR is doing 5th bowler's duties, he should be better than the 4 specialist bowlers .... if instead of the AR, the 5th specialist bowler is playing and goes for more runs, it is ok :p:

even bhuvi didnt....and his only job is bowling

4.00 vs 4.75. Scored the same no of runs as the allrounder.

I get it.

Should ICF have some kind of an entrance test of general aptitude and cricket knowledge before the members are allowed to post ?

Some of the posters and posts are downright embarrassing, from a cricket forum perspective.

I agree. They should.

.75 eco doesnt make any diff.......its under 5 which is gold in modern cricket and lets not forget he is more of a batsman so his 2nd job was also way good

Srly issue with 4.75 eco.....that is gold

If everyone else is closer to 4 and the allrounder is close to 5 there is a problem.

No point arguing on meaningless threads like this.. Ignore and move on.. That's the best reply to such stupid threads.

Exactly right. No point of arguing. If an all rounder excels we will put his numbers here. There are lot of games to be played.

Yes because he's actually an A/R & arguably the second best after Stokes, with his pace bowling being quite underrated even until just recently.

I am glad people are keeping tab of all rounders from other countries which personally I don't give a frick about. I will stay focussed on India.

This would be an eye opener for me when an allrounder pops up.

Second ODI and the worst bowler was so called Aii rounder:

BOWLING O M R W ECON 0s 4s 6s WD NB
B Kumar 7 1 42 2 6.00 28 5 2 1 0
Mohammed Shami 6 0 43 1 7.16 20 4 2 0 0
V Shankar 2 0 17 0 8.50 5 3 0 1 0
YS Chahal 9.2 0 52 2 5.57 26 3 2 0 0
KM Jadhav 6 0 35 1 5.83 15 2 1 0 0
Kuldeep Yadav 10 0 45 4 4.50 33 3 1 0 0

Once again if an all rounder pops up I will eat a humble pie.

This is not to undermine Shankar who people love on this board. Doestic stats are misleading if proper weigthing is not done. You do need proper bowlers. Shankar is a eample of a passenger.
