Will this be the most boring world cup ever?

The pitches in England seem very dry at the moment. It's become almost standard to post 300+ runs in an innings. ODIs are increasingly becoming an extended T20 match. 

 

Combine that with the never ending world cup schedule which culminates in only 3 eliminators (2 semi finals and the final) and you have a recipe for utter boredom.

Time will tell in a few week's time, but personally I'm not a fan of consistent high totals being put up in the scorecard match after match. The average 1st innings score in Nottingham has been 366 in last few years. 
We could only hope there is something for the bowlers as well. In 2011 WC, as it was conducted in 3 countries pitches were a bit different and there was something for everybody. Zaheer & Southee picking lot of wickets through reverse while Afridi, Yuvi, Murali, Peterson also getting their share of successes. Bangladesh were bundled out for 58 & 78 in their own home. England playing high scoring matches against India & Ireland then low scoring thrillers against SA & Bangladesh.
Regarding the schedule, all the group stage matches from 30th May to 6th July is like a long journey.

If the conditions are the same for all teams, I do not mind it. I would not have minded it if the conditions were bowler friendly for all in general too .... I would have preferred sporting pitches everywhere though 

 

what I do not prefer in such tournaments is pitches being different at different venues. So for e.g., BD could upset Ind on a bowler-friendly, "bat first and win the game" surface and lose to Aus on a flat deck. In this case, it is a disadvantage to Ind, which is a fav against BD, and advantage to Aus. Now if both matches were held on sporting or batting or bowling friendly wkts, and if BD beats Ind, it is acceptable

 

So if conditions remain constant, it should be ok (though sporting pitches are definitely preferable)!
