NO MORE WORLD CUPS IN ENGLAND

According to the long range forecast the weather in July will be **** in the North but better in the South, especially the South East (a normal summer pattern). The ICC has to move the semis from Old Trafford and Edgbaston (the two wettest grounds in the country) to the Oval or Lord's. They have to do it NOW!!! I love the North and am proud to be from here but to hold a semi successful cricket tournament you have to have most games in the South, so the two London grounds and Southampton have to have priority. You would have northerners complaining but it is just common sense

you are the king of the north ?

Completely lost interest in this World Cup because of these constant wash outs and rain affected games. Already interest has dwindled for 50 over format and now people are not even excited for World Cup. Media is hyping up Ind Vs Pak game but apart from that, it doesnt even feel like World Cup is going on.

Back in 96, 99, 03, we used to bunk school/college to watch World Cup. Now its like whatever.

Sad but true that the English don't give a fig about cricket anymore. Good article from Mukul Kesavan on this subject. https://www.telegraphindia.com/opinion/icc-cricket-world-cup-2019-cricket-may-not-matter-in-england-the-country-that-invented-it-but-indian-fans-don-t-care/cid/1692474

On all the British mags and sites - the game doesn't even get a mention even though the WC is being celebrated in the country. Some guy who won the US Open golf tourney gets more press than the WC. I wish the BCCI would push for cricket in the Olympics and multi-game events. At least then we would get China and a few other new teams onboard. Even the existing bunch may take the game more seriously.

With SA self-flagellating with the quota for coloured players and sinking, there are fewer and fewer competitive teams outside the sub-continent. Even that will disappear once India gets better at other sports.
