Why shammi was not played.

Dhoni should have come to bat at the fall of Kohli to arrest the fall of wickets and calm Rahul down.

It's obvious these inexperienced guys panicked once Rohit and Kohli got out and needed guidance on crease. 

 

But the legend came to bat after fall of 5 wickets...

Pant is not culprit, he is not no. 4 and should not bat above 6 and 7. Blame goes on coach and captain to not give enough chances to youngsters and groom them properly.

 

If Kohli was captain when young Kohli came to scene, he would be dropped permanently after couple of failures in his first few matches.

Check out india"s last 5 Odi losses.

You will find msd's slow innings as one of the causes of losses.

He had great DRS expertise and he keeps Ok.

But why dont you realise that his batting has declined.

Jadeja had to go for everything beacuse he didn't quite get the support that was required for that situation as Thala wanted to take it very deep. He deserves the criticism for leaving it too late. I wouldn't have blamed him had he got out trying to play with more intent but this loss is on Dhoni when we could have won the match.
