World XI which can beat current Indian team at home

No.5 Toss up between Ross Taylor  who does well in India and  back up Kusal Perera or Angelo Matthews 

 

No.6 Ben Stokes or Shakib based on the pitch

 

No.7 De Kock or J.Bairstow

 

No8 Pat Cummins- a work horse like bowler who can keep coming at the batsman with awkward lengths

 

No.9 M.Ali over Lyon because Indians struggle against darters rather than conventional spinners

 

No 10. I would need a conventional swing and seam bowler like Anderson to take early wickets to have a crack at the Indian middle order.  Philander Is too slow. Anderson In his prime would be an ideal choice to partner Cummins but will go with Hazelwood who is a seam bowler and has the extra pace.

 

No.11 Toss up between Archer who has the xfactor or that Srilankan mystery spinner who had Pakistan’s number recently.

 

Not going to pick Rashid Khan. Don’t think he will do well against us in tests.

Moeen Ali

Hazelwood

 

Reserves: Stokes, Wanindu Hasaranga,Angelo Matthews,Kusal Perera, Bairsotow

 

I think Karunarataney is better opner than tamim/Latham on current form across all condition especially subcontinent. Rest all squad looks good.

He did have the talents, but against Indians he was more of a good bowler than a great bowler. 

Who said anything about Steyn of recent times or Steyn of x period. I simply said that Steyn has demonstrated his ability to rip through Indian batting on Indian pitches. I stand by that statement. Without a pacer or a spinner who can rip through our batting lineup in India, a world XI isn’t winning a series in India.
