Marshall Akram Warne McGrath Steyn Bumrah I think Shane Warne is probably the most intelligent cricketer..ever to play the game.. There weren't many wrist spinners before him to learn from, played most of his tests in Australia and England where the ball hardly spins until end of day 4 and that too spins only from the rough.. and who can forget his most defining strategic contribution during Aussies victorious 2004 final frontier campaign in India..absolute genius express bowling and Nikola 2 Link to comment

Marshall Akram Warne McGrath Steyn Bumrah Mcgrath didn't think much. He had only one skill which was to land the ball in corridor of uncertainty, by far the hardest skill. But he mastered his only skill and never needed pace or planning/plotting. Asif was same as Mcgrath with more lateral movement. Link to comment
Norman
England's Steven Harmison comes to my mind when someone says "thinking bowlers". He used to set up batsman beautifully. Link to comment

I would cut off Steyn from that group and asterisk Bumrah as the only complete noob in the list and also switch around Warne and Akram. Link to comment
