vayuu1 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Surprise there is no thread on this,it has got ugly,first lawyers protesting ,now police on protest , police officers getting thrashed not just in Delhi but other parts as well,two very important pillars of democracy are at loggerheads.

It was a parking issue that who had the rights to park their vehicles at a particular spot. It snowballed when police ransacked the lawyers' chambers & lawyers set fire to police van, other vehicles. Then police opened fire in which 3 lawyers were hurt, many injured. Not the first time in Delhi that police-lawyers have fought each other in such manner. In 1988, Kiran Bedi ordered lathi charge against lawyers when a lawyer was caught in theft case & the court proceedings in Delhi, nearby areas was disrupted for 2 months by lawyers demanding her resignation.
coffee_rules Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Not connected to OP, but lawyers in general. I believe in this nobility of defence lawyers, will not abuse them personally (esp Singhvi the lawyer), but are they genuine? Most might do it for the money and/or fame
