It is inevitable that by scoring two double centuries so quickly in his budding career, Mayank Agarwal elicits comparison with the greats. He is joint second with Sir Don Bradman who reached the landmark in his 7th test too (it was a triple hundred then). But there is one player who reached there quicker than both.

He is none other than the fallen idol Vinod Kambli who reached that milestone in his 4th test match.

Hoping that Mayank's career follows the path of Don rather than that of Kambli!!!!

Not more than one player has hit 2 or 3 double hundreds yet in ODIs.  When that happens, then this quickest question will have weight.

There are many batsmen who scored two double hundreds in test cricket and hence reaching there quickest is considered an achievement as you could do something so much quicker than others.
