Samson’s batting style reminds me of a young Sachin

After which he should be admitted to the Umar Akmal Academy of lost tailunt. 

Very average first class and list A stats so comparison with Rohit is nonsensical.

7 matches 83 runs at strike rate of 118 which is very poor. He needs to score at a much better strike rate in future. Neither there are enough runs nor is the strike rate acceptable.

 

He has a better strike rate in IPL but maybe he is finding it tough to score against international bowlers and less dropped catches by opponent international level fielders. The grounds too are probably slightly bigger. Even few metres more makes difference.

 

 

Sachin was great at placing balls in gaps more often than not. Samson lacks it .

 

His placement needs to be better as he finds the fielders far too often and ends up giving catches. I feel his placement is the biggest weakness in his game and once he gets over it he can be a excellent LOI batsman for team.
