Samson’s batting style reminds me of a young Sachin

I know he had flopped in internationals so far but his stance and the 6 he hit in the last game and even today his on the up shot reminded me of Sachin.

 

I think there is some raw talent here. Not sure if he will get a run now but he does seem to have the swagger and the confidence of a young Sachin.

Rohit has changed his stance. He has a problem with left handers bringing in the ball in so he has a more open stance now.

Every player throughout their career keep doing minor tweaking but the basic game is still same, he also has cut down a lot of his risky options at start which has made him consistent something that samson has to learn

Nope still doesnt remind me, sachin use his front leg a lot more then rohit n samson who play uses their arms more while driving. Sachin front foot movement is a lot a more then rohit n samson. Plus sachin while cutting use to slash a lil hard i find samson n rohit a lil more elegant while cutting. I found sachin a lot more quicker on ball then say elegant players like ganguly, gower, rohit or even samson not saying these guys were slow but just that their elegance made it look like that

Im willing to bet my everything..Gill will end up more prolific than Kohli If only he is given a slot without wasting any further time.

it isnt as easy ur saying.....everyone has talent but what separates talented player from great is mindset. Kohli is a freak and so are legends when it comes to attitude and it remains to be seen does that gill have that drive

obv he has been playing for long has evolved over time , dube made his FC debut i 2017 only . Also in terms of fitness perera is far better

Samson is one guy I hope the TM gives 20-25 games. It is worth it. He has suspect temperament, which he needs to conquer.

its just the issue of having to many options with shots . Players like yuvi, rohit, samson, pant are blessed with huge shot range and it takes time for such player to get their game plan right then someone like kohli or other who had less range . Some times limitations help better at start. The more he plays the more game awareness he ll get about how to pace his game and rohit is the best xample infront of him. This is where he needs backing from captain, ideally he shud have played games in SL series then dhawan who knws what wud have happened in those 2 games.

Yes, his start to international career is like KL Rahul's.. remember Rahul had some horror starts in his first few Test innings with four or bust.. TM needs to talk to Samson and calm him down so he doesn't throw his bat at everything but instead times the ball.

Kohli has lesser shot range than Samson ? Which shot can Samson play and Kohli cannot.
