Why is there no test cricket on indian sports channels?

I haven't seen ANYTHING on star sports or sony. 6 different channels, not a single one has shown any test cricket-related programming.

 

Back in the day, ESPN and star sports showed test highlights all day long. Individual innings, 5 wicket hauls, match replays, player profiles.

These days, its only ICC matches - world cup or champions trophy ... or IPL. Nothing else.

 

Is test cricket now completely irrelevant in india? Are most of us on this forum a dying minority?

Sony six shows some retro Indian wins - World series in Aus ... much better than the IPL shi-t playing on all channels of Star Sports . But agree, that test cricket is not being given any priority.

I would like to see highlights of some top test matches rather regularly.

 

My top picks would be the tests we played in 2018 and 2019, where our fast bowling unit was on fire.
