People are misusing it , yours truly included. It's only some mindless ribbing in the season, I don't think we need to have downvote at all. You can add a poll and take a vote on this one. I have hardly used it and also do not receive too many troll votes (apart from the case last year and this one). If there is something that I do not agree with I post a reply.
