the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings – the tournament’s most successful teams have stuck to their inspirational captains Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, Kings XI Punjab have found a new leader in KL Rahul. The Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be lead by Steve Smith and David Warner respectively, thereby being the only teams to be lead by overseas internationals.for more information

Add KKR with Eoin Morgan to the list of international captains.  Lot of good that did.

And I feel at least the last two years and probably four years Rohit should have been India captain.  Hopefully TM is smart enough to realize Shreyas is the best choice for next captain over KL Rahul.  I love KLR as a batsman, but take some of the pressure off by naming Iyer as next captain when the day comes.

Shreyas has learned from Ricky Ponting.  KLR tutelage under Kumble.  That tells you all you need to know.

When are you lot going to recognize Indians are not fit to be leaders when there are alternatives?  Look at the most successful teams in IPL; none of them have an Indian coach.  They may have Indian captains, but do you really think the captain makes the biggest decisions?

Wednesday's DC vs RR match shows a lot.  Shreyas Iyer has been a great captain through this tournament but has to leave for injury.  Dhawan is given captaincy in his absence and DC don't miss a beat.  Is Dhawan sudden some great captain savant or is it because the greatest coach in IPL is the real leader of team strategy?  Not hard to figure this out.
