coffee_rules Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Hearing about massive floods in Hyderabad/Telangana. Hope all ICFers in the region are safe ( @nikred)
gattaca Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) They have built city in low lying water catchment areas. Hyderabad had a history of flooding since nawabs. TDP government built necklace road and Madhapur Hi Tech City both are low lying areas. I am also not giving free pass to TRS government they have to think differently have to increase the size of drainage and make sure this doesn’t happen. This has been happening for sometime now. nikred Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Hearing about massive floods in Hyderabad/Telangana. Hope all ICFers in the region are safe ( nikred) Thanks coffee for asking. I live in high level area, so we never faced any issue during rains. But the visuals are frightening. I heard a kid drowned in the basement of an apartment which is a kilometer away from my home and located near a lake. There were heavy rains yesterday night as well. Gollum Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 (edited) Stay safe everyone. I was caught in a flood in Hyderabad in 2013, Habsiguda area, night time, water till chest sometimes even up to neck level and had to walk like that for over 2 km to get to my residence. Really poor drainage in the city. Edited October 15, 2020 by Gollum coffee_rules 1
