Clarke Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I went through this audiobook on the topic, it states that long and healthy life in Okinawa seems to be a result of some factors - Clean fresh healthy food - Good activity levels - Companionship - Being relaxed as opposed to stressed - Passionate about something that keeps us busy, i guess you're referring to this aspect. I should have been dead by now, glad to be going all right coffee_rules, Straight Drive and BacktoCricaddict 3
BacktoCricaddict Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 (edited) Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I have found it best to not attach any labels to what I do, and not try to find a reason or purpose for my existence, or some higher meaning for everything I do. (1) Be as kind as possible to everyone. If you eff up, apologize and move on. (2) Take pleasure in family's well-being. (3) Take pleasure in work and impacting students' careers positively. (4) Take pleasure in eating a variety of cuisines. Keep intake low. Exercise as much as you can. (5) Have some hobbies. For me, it is growing vegetables, watching and talking about cricket, reading and communicating science, African drumming, sleeping. (6) Don't draw venn diagrams :-) Edited March 4, 2021 by BacktoCricaddict Vijy, Straight Drive and coffee_rules 3
