minefields can easily backfire. what do you think happened against lyon and o'keefe? it almost could have happened in ahmedabad too, when Joe "Golden Arm" root took 5/8. it's just that eng batting was even more pathetic.

N.z batting is even worse than England. Will be surprised if they score more than 120.

No, it is not worse than Eng. none of eng's top 7 average above 40 apart from root; stokes has done well in the past 3 yrs. NZ's batting is not good overseas, but is still better than Eng. I don't think minefields are the way to go. something like ahmedabad 4th test is ideal. good amount of spin, but not excessive amounts.

Batting in n.z and their averages in n.z mean nothing in India. 

Their averages in India are no good apart from Ross.
