sorry if there’s already a thread for this, Mods please delete in that case. So as per the rules, each team can retain Upto 4 players (either 3 Indians 1 overseas or 2 Indians 2 overseas). (No right to match cards) Which player(s) do you think teams should retain?

Mumbai Indians

  1. Rohit
  2. Bumrah
  3. Hardik
  4. Sky vs Pollard (pollard is their 2nd captain but if sky goes in auction it will cost them a bomb to get him back)

MI will spend all the money to get back Rahul Chahar, Krunal, Kishen ......They like to keep their core which they builded. Thats where others teams shud mess with them

Dhawan is 35, DC probably won’t retain him

Doesnt matter, he still can play 2-3 yr and still quite fit

its hard to get a high quality indian player back, if dhawan goes in auction he ll go at a very good price. U dnt wanna make ur team weak n others strong.

Dhawan has been their best batsman in last 2 yrs. If they let him go its a blunder

Good point, although it can be argued that genuinely talented quicker bowlers are harder to come by. DC already have have one of the best Indian batting cores in Shaw Pant and Iyer, I think they can afford to let Dhawan go for Rabada. I mean losing Rabada would be a bigger blunder in my opinion

that ull still get with foriegn bowler n rabadda hasnt been the same in last 1-2 yrs

Even if rabada goes in auction he wont go as high as dhawan so buy him back. Indian players will always go at a huge cost

Nope

  1. Butler

They wont waste huge money to retain tyagi , i think no one wud. Its foolishness , u can buy them back at cheaper cost

Butler n archer have performed for them consistently not stokes

Only issue is that Archer is injury prone. Also Stokes has 2 centuries for them lol. He’s just too valuable to let go of

even stokes is but archer will be toughest to buy back in auction, stokes have been mighty inconsistent as well
