What would be India/IPL team's policy if a player and/or support staff catches COVID during the tournament?

As already mentioned multiple times by multiple posters -> not required to isolate in UK if double vaccinated ... What BCCI (probably in ignorance or assuming the guidelines to similar like in India or not being updated elsewhere) does is irrelevant

Players were playing for BCCI. What guidelines England had didn't matter. Regarding your work, you will follow guidelines of your employer and BCCI guidelines till now have been to isolate. How can that be different for coaches and players. Players went by BCCI guidelines. 

 

FYI, now England doesn't even consider vaccinated in India as vaccinated. They have mandated 10-day quarantine now.

 

You are anyway confusing test match and T20. If the last match was a T20, it would not have got cancelled. Would have played even with depleted squad like they did in SL.

 

Playing a 5 day game was going to be difficult under clouds of Covid. Can't compare t20 to test. Because if anyone got tested positive mid test, they all would have stuck in England for at least 10-15 days and they were already there since June.

Not interested in irrelevant stuff and excuses ... We know that a medical team in UK addressed players concerns and BCCI had agreed to play the game ... Thank you
