yes, agreed. I modified my post a bit around the same time you wrote your post. I'm not really convinced much about abhishek compared to samad. Even Samad is very raw. for now, I regard that position as being totally open.

India has plenty of talent. Plenty. I mean alot. They don't get chances due to politics and sycophants that occupy spots.

For opening slot we have too many choices..for middle order only samad is decent. Don't know why selectors ignore rayudu, he is perfect for these sort of pitches better candidate than shreyas iyer.

Rayudu is already 36. He simply isn't an answer to our problems. Everyone wants to play at the top and pad their stats, the middle & lower order becomes an orphan. This is what we get for worshiping meaningless stats.
