Whom do you think is gonna be the star of this world cup ? in 1996 , it was jayasuriya 99 - Klusener 03 - Tendulkar 2007 - ??? Is it gonna be a batsmen again ??? or a bowler ??? Sangakkara recently said that he expects jayasuriya , lara and sachin to have a super world cup... wonder if its gonna be true...

Be it Mohinder Amarnath or Wasim Akram or Sanath Jayasuriya or Sachin Tendulakr or Lance Klussner. though sachin did not contribute significantly save for one or two matches in the 2003 edition, the rest were prominent all rounders. as a result i am tempted to predict that one of the allrounders amongst Jacob Oram (if fit), Symmonds (again, if fit), Kemp, Pollock, Flintoff or Gayle might bag it. had pathan been in any semblance of bowling form, he would have been an instant pick for his batting is at par with a number of specialist batsmen at the moment.

Re: Who will be the star of this world cup ?? Afridi.. Cant see him play sensible cricket so if luck goes his way, few of those miss hit land in no man land or few droped catch then conditions are just made for his type of play, his bowling will be useful and he is a decent fielder.
