Nha. He averaged 26. Something in shield. He was good but not great after injury. He would have struggled.

let us agree to disagree. I don't care about shield averages - what matters is skill sets. correlation between domestics and international cricket is not 100% - otherwise, ajay sharma should be a better batter than SRT, gavaskar, etc.

Rarely ever you see someone perform better in international compared to their domestic stats. Recently I would say maybe labushagne. 

 

I am referring to skill set. Harris post injury wasn't the same. He was at his best in early 2010 era. Then it wasn't so good in 2015 vs India away. He did ok though. Very good but not great. 

 

Sure he would do well vs mediocre Indian batsmen now but he would never do all that well vs our batting at their best.

Richardson is bit injured. Might be able to play but they don't want to take the risk considering it's 5 match series & hazlewood is injured too.

I think that was the reason. they will need him back for 4th or 5th test
