Not a single Top 6 batsman could score 50+ at a SR of 95+ while chasing a largish target with required SR of 96.

Lots to celebrate 

- hoping this is end of bhuvi 

- sky chahar thakur showed odi usefulness 

- return of jadeja and Rohit will make it stronger again 

 

- krishna bowled ok . Needs to be used with saini so bumrah stays fresh 

 

so long as middle order players given longer rope I am happy . Kohli needs to bat at 5 and rahul at 6 with pant at 4 and sky / aiyer at 3

 

give more exposure to players to get experience .

it was both middle order and tail issues exposed. with 10 runs in 3 overs, most teams would win with 3 wkts in hand. there are obviously issues at top, but also at bottom. What I don't get is why none of the batters can be bothered to bowl a bit, and vice versa. in the past, kumble-srinath-zak could all bat to an extent and sehwag-sachin-srt-gangu could bowl to varying degrees. even looking at other teams, starc-cummins can bat, markram can bowl, and so on
