Ben Stokes: Pant shouldn’t be criticised for his bold approach

Don't understand this obsession with making everyone open. I don't want us to be top heavy. Very few can nail the middle overs like Pant, Pandya, and a few others do. Sure, he can give us quick starts, but the game changing 35-40s he can produce in middle order hold more value.

 

Also, this is a position where you can better 'control' a match. Almost anyone can 'set' the match, let him do the dirty job.
