Jos Buttler could win a couple of world cups!

From a cricketing PoV, England understands LOIs and is shaping the trends. However, from a non-cricketing PoV, now is the time for captains born in the 1990-93 period to win titles (Guys born in the 80s are probably on their way out with Finch winning the title for Aus in 2021. 1986 is said to be a good year to be born in for sportsmen). 

 

Jos Butter is born in 1990, therefore, as a chance to win a title here. His main competition was Kane Williamson, who is born in 1990 too, but since NZ already won the WTC, he was probably out of it. 

 

 

Talking about patterns, for India, as mentioned before Sir Don Pandya fit the bill as: 

 

• Born in the 1990-1993 period
• A MO player who can both bat & bowl/keep, a pattern that works for India (Kapil & Dhoni)

Babar is born in 1994 so not in the radar yet but with Pakistani players you can not be sure of their age so can't comment.

Right now, only India captaincy material who can compete with Buttler's luck factor is Sir Don Pandya 

 

Otherwise, a lot of things have to go Ind's way to entertain such thoughts
