Vk1
Most bilaterals are played on flat pitches.. 300 is a minimum in odis and even 350 is chased on occasions.. T20Is are usually 170+ scores in SENAPI ( including Pak- forget tier 2 teams ) with avg score as high as 175 if you omit outliers like 130 scores. But when it comes to the world events, somehow with random turn of events, scores come down drastically.. teams huff and puff to 240 & 140 in both formats.. granted that pressure in world stage and eliminators is huge but does that alone cause these low scores or is it the ICC that is doing a pathetic job in scheduling, ensuring good quality of pitches.. concern is that any unfancied team with sufficient luck could have won it.. NZ got very lucky in 2019 until the last ball.. happy that Eng won it twice ( ignore the win toss win cup farce in Gulf ) Suhaan 1 Link to comment
kosingh
And some of our big shots are frequently rested in bilaterals...which makes for a better team Link to comment
