An interesting idea that allows teams to be more competitive by removing weak links like 5th-6th bowlers or extend the batting if required. 

 

Imagine a team planning to attack the weak 5th bowler but the team substitutes a bowler who has bowled his quota with a death overs specialist. Or if a team loses 3-4 quick wickets, it strengthens its batting by bringing in a better batting option.

Super sub failed cause you had to declare team before toss. Team winning toss has a huge advantage and more often than not it became 12 vs 11 game.
