Karan114 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 There is nothing wrong with selecting Irfan in ODIs.U dont need pace to be successful in ODIs unlike test cricket. Also we desperately need a left arm bowler with Zaheer Zaheer unlikely to play much ODIs in future. So hopefully he can cement his spot in the ODI squad ahead of Vinay. For tomorrow we should go with Pathan Mithun and Aaron imo. I've been amongst Vinay's harsh critics, but fair is fair, he has done decently in this series.

King Tendulkar Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 totally. Having an issue with a player is not the point, but repeatedly absuing him and worst of all distorting his name to make it an insult is sickening. Its as if Pathan has done something to him personally. Moreover ask him for an informed debate and he will never show up, point out the several good performances that Irfan has for India and there is no response. I wonder what KT was thinking when Pathan won India major matches like Perth test and T20 WC final... I bet he was very upset, would rather have seen India lose than him play well... Has done something to me persaonally and thats be rubbish for india. Its hardly sickening, I mean where were you when a 1000 posters rounded on dumbhajan and hurled all kinds of names at him? I am more then willing to go in to informed debate. Pathan WON us T20 world cup final. How dare you, it was Joggi Sharma! Won us matches:hysterical: He played in those games yes but won them for India, you on a comedy role. Never upset when India win. Its only you when your fav players like crapthan and Kaif(look ealrier in this thread defending a pile of rubbish like Kaif, in fact till recently you were pimping him for a recall). Always love it when India win. You know that as well:finger:

How the hell did he win us Perth test. He got 5 god dammn wickets in whole match, hardly propelled India to victory in some bothamesque performances. And hailing him as some great cos he took 3 wickets in T20 match, what has the world come to!!! Stop peddling this misinformation!

Three wickets for 16 runs at 4 rpo >> 2 for 20 runs at nearly 6 rpo just FYI. Man of the match, by definition, goes to the key player of that match. Youre so blinded by your hate you poor poor guy. I did call for a Kaif recall about three years ago when there was very good ground for him getting one and started a thread on it... that Kaif thread is proof that you are incapable of debating with facts because with you it is a personal baseless and inexplicable vendetta

I dont understand one thing how will bowling in a ODI match against WI in india helps to bowl against OZ in Oz after 3 weeks...some logic

I did ask for a recall about three years ago when there was very good ground for him getting one and that Kaif thread is proof that you are incapable of debating with facts because with you it is a personal baseless and inexplicable vendetta That's hardly the point. The main thing is he did it 4 years back. He still used to bowl around 130 K. Present reports suggest that now he is more of a 120 K bowler. He is simply not test class. Even Bangladesh and Zimbabwe does'nt play such trudlers. He may be a utility player in ODIs but the only way he is going to get a wicket in tests is by batsmen making some very stupid mistakes.

So he did ok in a T20 match. Whats your point? That he did well for india overall cos he took 3 wickets in a T20 slog fest!!! Kaif attacks have never been personal, did not even give him a nickname. Just pointed out that his stance was like he was having a cr.ap and that his batting grip was akin to a 4th team village cricketer , hence his inabilty to even reach the boundry with 4s cos of his pathetic grip. Its me not being personal. More your issue with having some infactuatuion with getting Kaif and Crapthan in to the team, why the obssession with these awful players:hmmm:

Only person who doesnt contributed in that match was Bajjii :winky:

Jog Sharma also did well in that final' date=' kind of makes crapthan point redudndant[/quote'] you were talking about the t20 final so I gave Pathan's figures for that particular match :dontknow: talking about consistency, Bhajji and Rohit also have not been "Mr Consistent" in the last 2-3 years/months but you have always supported them because you believe in their talent. So whats wrong if others believe that Pathan still has what it takes to make a comeback? Whats the need to insult a player every time his name is mentioned anywhere on ICF ???

Its me not being personal. More your issue with having some infactuatuion with getting Kaif and Crapthan in to the team, why the obssession with these awful players:hmmm: ^ Unlike you who goes on whim and fancy, i think players should be there on merit that is all. When Kaif was in very good batting form for UP I wanted him in the test squad. That was three years ago I think, not recently. Unless three years ago is recent for you. He was harshly treated by selectors. Again, when I pointed this out your response was the usual banal childish rants, ignoring actual performances. Similarly Irfan is now the top wicket taker in domestic cricket, he deserves a spot. You would never have found me asking him to play when his form and fitness were unproven- in fact I can pull up threads where I have stated the opposite, people were calling for him to play for India last year or so and I have posted that he needs to prove himself over a period of time first. Firm believer that consistent domestic performances should be rewarded, I would have definitely preferred Vinay over Mithun in Aus for instance. Not least because we are now short of a swing bowler. Even thought Pankaj Singh deserved a squad call up, rightly or wrongly. Back to Irfan the T20 WC final match is one example. Here are a few facts your hate is blinding you to- Perth test in Aus when he turned in a fine performance with bat and ball. Apart from nailing both openers in both innings he scored a 40 batting at no 3 vs Johnson, Tait, Lee and Clark. Good debut tour of Aus too A superb 05 season, albeit briefly, when under Chappell we were a fantastic ODI unit he was integral to that side. Will pull up some stats at some point. Test match hatrick vs Pakistan and Him and Balaji were superb in Pak in 04, key factor in that series for us One of the quickest to 50 wickets in ODI history.
