mani sha Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Hi ever since bharat Arun has left , bowlers seem to have regressed and getting injured . p krishna injured a khan fully regressed . b kumar - was always regressed so doesn’t count bumrah - injured and will be back for ipl Arshdeep - bowled ok in wc but today he showed lack of mental toughness .reminds me of harminson of England . Talll fast bowler who was a mental midget another feather in dravids cap . Dravid has no clue about team selection , can’t manage fast bowlers . Indian cricket downward spiral continues . watch how Aussies crush us . We are ripe to be eaten alive Sandz 1
LordPrabhzy Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 After highs of the Bumrah led pace quartet.. Indian team has slid back to the 90s mentality of trundler is King. When you have a meek coach like Dravid and a fat vadapav captain who misses more games than plays.. what example are we setting for the future generation of bowlers Vijy, express bowling, putrevus and 1 other 1 1 2
vvvslaxman Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Arshdeep can bowl better than this. Extremely off day. In Similar conditions he reduced SA to 8 for 5. One of those days. But Mavi i am skeptical. He reminds me of Harshal Patel with his overindulgence in knuckle balls. Despite the cameo Jury is still out on that one. Umran just has to continue doing what he is doing. No compromise on speed. Whether they edge him for six, whether chahal parries the ball over boundary for six. No need of line and length, movement whatever. mani sha 1
CoverDrive Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Yes I definitely feel in this case the issue is with the Coaching and management of talent at the top level. Guys like Arshdeep came up due to their accuracy and they seem to be losing way. His strength is accuracy and he has to get better. Paras Mhambrey is definitely not doing a good job. The best thing under Shastri - Kohli was improvement in fast bowlers in terms of fundamentals. Even someone like Umran Malik can be made much better use of. You could give him a HAris Raul kind of role targeting and making batsmen uncomfortable. He doesn’t need to target stumps every ball which ends up him bowling straight length balls and he doesn’t not have much swing. Make him vary his length bowl fast Yorkers and bouncers. WIth SHami and Bumrah in their last few years we need to be very smart. Unlike before we have the Raw ingredients so we just need to be good at managing and developing them While new management seems to have a good idea of approach to T20 batting but bowling has definitely regressed.
