Is this innings by Gill one of the best by an Indian?

the ODIs are too much batsmen oriented, specially in India. So becomes difficult to rate such innings too high.

NZ were also without Southee,Boult and Sodhi.

I'd say even 50s have been better

Yes but pressure was created by the other end. It would have been an average innings if he had got any support. He had to make he does not get out but also to finish that up.

About bowlers, they were doing well before he started hitting them. Others had a strike rate of 50 against Santner, Gill butchered him alone.

I think Virat's t20 innings against us in this world cup was super good - batting conditions were also difficult.

183 in asia cup was also good but that wicket was belter for batting.
