13 wickets against zimbabwe. Bowled decently against us in the ODIs. Looks younger for a 27 year old.

Gudakesh spell of 13 for 99 is the best by westindies spinner in single test match beat previous best spell of 11 wkts or so by Sony Ramadhin/Alf Valentine/ Gibbs & Devendra Bishoo, Shillingford & off spinner  Cornwall who took 10 wkts recently.( leading Windies spinner.)

Saw him when India toured WI for ODIs.. Very accurate spinner & not a carter too. 

Great prospect for WI. 

Left arm spinners are ruling test cricket everywhere.

None of the batsmen , the world over , show any confidence in using their feet and disturbing the spin bowlers rhythm. 

 

This isn't a comment against the Windies bowler. He looks good but you don't see batsmen ( with very few exceptions ofcourse ) looking confident against spinners. Whereas previously , loads of  subcontinent batters had the ability of picking the ball from the arm and using the feet and the crease. 

 

Somehow playing spinners now has become more of blocking the good balls and then hitting the bad ones whereas previously batsmen used their feet etc to convert good deliveries into run scoring ones as well and disturbed the rhythm of the bowlers too. 

 

A spinner shouldn't be minding being hit for fours or sizes , it's the singles which kill his confidence.

Otherwise as Desi's we're just used to chumps looking way older than their age suggests.

even cornwall did well in a few tests vs weak opposition. he looks good, but needs to be tested vs proper teams.
