Should push for 2038...  It would be shameful to not host a Asian Games event by then.  Economic conditions would be good enough.

Only then a Olympic dream would be possible after 2047.

Few more gold prospects IMO

Antim Phangal - Wrestling

Deepak Punia - Wrestling

Pooja Gehlot - Wrestling

Bajrang Punia - Wrestling (yes he hasn't had a great lead up - still one of the best in his category)

Saurav Ghosal - Men's squash

Manu Bhaker - 25m Pistol Shooting

Kabaddi women - I think they will win it this time making up for the shock loss last time

Lovlina Borgohain - She won the Asian championships last year and world championship this year

Murali Sreeshankar - Long jump

Annu Rani - Javelin women's (she hasn't had a great year so far but IMO still the best Asian woman's thrower)

Parul Chaudary - 5000m women Athletics

Jinson Johnson - Outside shot - but could win

Parul would have been a decent shot but for  World champion of Budapest Winfred Yavi of Bahrain...  That 3000m steeplechase is gone case.

Kabaddi Women can do it.

Rest are not sure shot contenders.

Wrestling would be a struggle.

High hopes from Archery to get at least 1 gold.

80-90 medals is what I am expecting...  Lots of silvers &,  bronze.

Don't overthink it, not the Olympics. Just enjoy the show and mark out candidates who have a shot in Paris. This is just an audition for the real deal next year.

In some sports it is equivalent if not better than the Olympics given the number of quotas given to ppl.

Badminton, TT, Wrestling, Boxing, Archery, Shooting etc. are as tough if not tougher than the Olympics

Noone is a lock for gold in any sport. Anything can happen. We were talking about prospects and these folks are that.

They didn’t even give visas to Indians in arunachal why so much hype for Chinese.

It is for our athletes in these sports who rarely get any exposure otherwise.

India starts off with Silvers in Rowing and Shooting (Women's 50m team).

Womens' cricket team bowls out BD for 51. Women's TT team is trailing Thailand by 1 match as our #1 Manika Batra gets walloped in the first game. Ahiya Mukherjee the #2 is up 2-0 in her match. Hopefully the ladies win this one.

Was expected...  I reckon they would have done same to even Umran Malik as he is from JK.  So BCCI avoided a diplomatic row to not send him.

Women's and Men's TT teams finding it hard in the round of 16 vs Thailand and Kazakhstan respectively.

2-2 in the Women's with the final game to go vs Thailand and down 1-0 vs Kazakhstan
